Nitte (Deemed to be University) serves as one of five global FAO Reference Centres for Antimicrobial Resistance and Aquaculture Biosecurity. Our role is to provide independent scientific, technical, and policy advice to FAO and its Member Nations. We specialize in strengthening laboratory networks, advancing field surveillance methodologies, and supporting national action plans to mitigate the risks of AMR in aquatic food systems.
